I couldn't leave this one out. If anything brings forward the 25th amendment this does. The legality was followed to the T. The VP died and Nixon appointed a new one. Nixon resigns before he is empeached and the New president (that nobody voted for) pardons him. Saving the public the agony of watching their president brought up on criminal charges.....yeah right. The whole the was more crooked than metal clothes hanger after it's been through a garbage disposal.
