I agree with neither side on the death penalty versus life imprisonment. On the one hand you have, possibly, killing an innocent person. On the other hand you have paying for someone for years that would much rather have died then be raped, beaten, and overall abused in prison. Neither of those is appealing, but if a capital crime is commited one of them has to be implimented. So I say give a person a choice. Let someone say "I want to rot in prison." or "I would rather die." I see no problem granting a choice and I think that would solve many of the problems presented by either or.
